"Bambino Bowl" is one of the few football events organized by U.s. military personnel in Italy during war time. This event must be considered as the first game ever played on italian territory and many others will follow ! In Italy this first ever football game was played in BARI by teams composed of solely American Soldiers in front of 5000 persons. The trophy was named "BAMBINO BOWL" and the result was:
TECHNICAL SCHOOL 13 - PLAYBOYS 0
The Stadium for this game was probably the main one in Bari at that time: Stadio della Vittoria.
